For tax professionals and practice owners

Build the business behind your tax expertise.

Lead a tax practice. Focus on preparing returns. Strengthen an office under your brand. Find professional tax software. Choose the path that fits what you want to build.

Start with the right conversation. Recruitment, practice-launch support, white-label services, and software each have their own scope and terms.

01 / PRACTICE LAUNCH AND LEADERSHIP

Build and lead a tax practice.

Turn your ambition to operate a tax practice into a defined plan. Explore the Managing Director pathway with Prosperity One and identify the experience, systems, and operating responsibilities your next step requires.

Who this fits
Entrepreneurial tax professionals who want to develop client relationships, organize tax operations, and lead a practice. Aspiring owners can begin with a readiness conversation.

What the pathway focuses on

  • Clarify your target clients, service model, and launch priorities.
  • Build a process for client intake, preparation, review, and follow-up.
  • Plan client development, team capacity, and practice performance.

Your role in the practice

  • Develop relationships and manage the business behind delivery.
  • Coordinate qualified preparers and review responsibilities.
  • Work within the agreed brand, software, and client-service model.

Choose your starting point

  • Experienced leaders: review the current Managing Director opening. It calls for at least five years of relevant experience.
  • New practice owners: request a readiness conversation before pursuing a leadership appointment or buying launch support.

The posted leadership role is a remote independent-contractor engagement. Compensation, fees, client relationships, brand rights, and responsibilities must be documented for the selected arrangement. No earnings or client-volume guarantee.

02 / TAX PREPARATION OPPORTUNITIES

Focus on preparing taxes.

Bring your tax-preparation experience to client engagements with Prosperity One. The Tax Consultant pathway is for professionals who want to prepare returns and support clients without taking on the responsibility of leading an office.

Who this fits
Experienced preparers who value accuracy, organized documentation, and responsive service. The current opening calls for at least two years of professional tax-preparation experience.

Where you contribute

  • Prepare assigned individual or business returns within your expertise.
  • Request missing records and document tax positions and questions.
  • Participate in review, resolve corrections, and communicate progress.

What you bring

  • A valid PTIN before preparing federal returns for compensation.
  • Professional software experience and a secure remote workspace.
  • Dependable availability and sound judgment about when to escalate.

How selection works

  • Submit your experience, qualifications, and availability.
  • Discuss the work, review process, and compensation terms.
  • Complete the required agreement and onboarding before assignments.

Remote independent-contractor opportunity. Assignment volume depends on demand, qualifications, and availability. Compensation is established in writing. No employee benefits or guaranteed workload.

03 / SERVICES FOR YOUR OWN BRAND

Build your office around your brand.

Create a more organized tax-office experience under your own business identity. Explore a defined combination of branded client workflows, office infrastructure, and operational support with Prosperity One.

Who this fits
Practice owners and firms that want help setting up or strengthening their office while presenting services through their own brand, subject to the agreed delivery and disclosure requirements.

Support to discuss

  • Branded inquiry and onboarding workflows and client communications.
  • Office procedures, status tracking, and responsibilities for each handoff.
  • Software setup coordination and team orientation where available.

Start with a defined scope

  • Identify the processes you want to retain and the work to be supported.
  • Agree on branding, client contact, data access, and escalation routes.
  • Test a sample client journey before expanding the arrangement.

Clarify any preparation support

  • Tax preparation, technical review, and filing are separate scope decisions.
  • Any fulfillment work requires confirmed capacity, qualified personnel, and written responsibilities.

Services are scoped and quoted after review. White-label branding does not remove required preparer identification or disclosures. Software, third-party costs, and return preparation are included only when expressly listed in the agreement.

04 / SOFTWARE FOR TAX PROFESSIONALS

Choose software that fits your practice.

Evaluate professional tax software through Prosperity One with attention to the returns you prepare, how your team works, and the support you need. Begin with a requirements conversation and a written quote.

Who this fits
Independent preparers, office owners, and firms seeking a professional tax-software license or evaluating a change for the next filing season.

What we review together

  • Required federal and state forms, return types, and filing workflow.
  • Users, offices, access needs, and any prior-year data conversion.
  • Setup responsibilities, training options, and technical support.

What your quote should explain

  • The named product, license period, users, and included modules.
  • License, implementation, transaction, and other applicable fees.
  • Renewal, cancellation, data access, and support responsibilities.

A clear route to activation

  • Confirm product fit and availability.
  • Review the written license and any separate service scope.
  • Complete approved provisioning and a test workflow before use.

Availability, product features, pricing, and resale eligibility require confirmation. Software is licensed from the identified third-party provider. A license does not confer tax competence or authorization to e-file.

Before your next step

Your questions, answered.

Is this separate from Careers?

Yes. This page helps tax professionals compare recruitment opportunities and commercial services. Current role descriptions and applications remain on our Careers page.

Can I start if I am new to taxes?

Begin with a practice-readiness conversation. Current contractor openings have experience requirements, and technical preparation skills and required authorizations must be in place before client work.

Can I operate under my own brand?

The white-label route is designed to explore that need. Branding, client relationships, data access, disclosures, and delivery responsibilities will be defined in the agreement.

Does white-label support include preparing returns?

Only if the written scope specifically includes it and qualified delivery capacity is confirmed. Office setup, software, preparation, technical review, and filing are separate scope decisions.

Can I purchase software without a consulting package?

We will review the available product and supplier terms. Any required or optional implementation and advisory services will be identified separately before you decide.

Are earnings or client assignments guaranteed?

No. Compensation follows the applicable written agreement, and work or business results depend on demand, qualifications, operating capacity, and the selected arrangement.

What should I share when I contact you?

Share your goal, experience, state, timeline, and approximate practice size. Keep taxpayer documents, SSNs, PTIN or EFIN numbers, passwords, and banking details out of marketing inquiries.
